These bricks are the tiles (some kind of sandstone) layed outside Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia. They are stunning to look at, each on a work of art.
This is the blossom of the eucalyptus tree. They come in many different colours, red, pink, yellow, orange, white. They attract the bees like crazy in the summer.
This is a macro photo of filter cap on the "AirCap" we use when dealing with the dusty environment of the pigeon lofts.
Great invention.
You put the cap on which is just a baseball type cap.
It has a face shield and a filter and fan mounted on the top of the cap.
The fan blows filtered air down across your face and out the sides of the faceshield creating a positive pressure under the facemask that prevents non filtered air from entering.
This photo was taken on board a submarine at the Maritime Museum in Sydney. I loved how all the valve handles lined up looked like a little garden. Great shapes!
I was playing around with the camera - experimenting - trying to get a decent shot of this carousel as it moved. I was not successful but I did get a decent shot when it stopped!!
This is my photo for the Photo Friday theme of "The good life." These two couples sure look like they are living the good life. Not so much the fellows driving, it was a 39 degree day this day!!
This Photo was taken along Southbank in Melbourne. It is one of the many Art Sculptures there are in this area of the city. I think its supposed to be a big metal rose.
