Macroday - Round.

This is my photo for the Macroday challenge of round.

It is a photo of a light fitting above the stairs in Southbank Plaza, Southbank, Melbourne (Australia).

Loved the look of it so I had to take a shot!

Lensday Challenge - Spring.

Taken out the front of a friends house over the easter weekend.
The very last flower on the bush!

Lens Day Challenge - Toys.

This is my Girl Molly's fav toy.
Every time I go out the back door she races over and drops it on my feet!
I think she wants to play!

Macroday - Keys.

I Love taking macro shots but usually I am taking shots of flowers and bugs.
This is a bit different for me so thanks for the challlenge MacroDay!

Thursday Challenge - Experimental.

I was playing around with the camera - experimenting - trying to get a decent shot of this carousel as it moved.
I was not successful but I did get a decent shot when it stopped!!

Photo Friday - The Good life!

This is my photo for the Photo Friday theme of "The good life."
These two couples sure look like they are living the good life.
Not so much the fellows driving, it was a 39 degree day this day!!

Lens Day Challenge - Metallic.

This Photo was taken along Southbank in Melbourne.
It is one of the many Art Sculptures there are in this area of the city.
I think its supposed to be a big metal rose.

Photo Friday - Sunrise.

I took this photo on the way to work one morning.
I had to pull over and get out of the car it was so stunning!
The colours were gorgeous!
It was taken with a kodak 2 megapixel camera.
I joined 2 photos together to show more of it.

Theme Thursday - "Body"

This is a close up of my eye, doctored somewhat in photoshop. Added colour to iris (always wanted brilliant blue eyes!) and used the coloured pencil filter and light filter on my skin. I had alot of fun doing this and have wanted to take an eye close up for ages.

Thursday Challenge - RED

This is a photo of a red flower on a succulent plant in my back yard. Don't know what its .called

Photo Friday - "The dead of night."

This photo was taken outside Crown Casino in Melbourne. Along the Yarra riverside.

They have these great big columns that shoot up spurts of fire in a sequence.

I set the camera on the edge on a big concrete planter right at the rivers edge.

At first there was a couple of little puffs and then a huge burst of flame spewed out of the column nearest me ad scared the crap out of me!! I nearly fell backwards into the Yarra River!!

Theme Thursday - "Happy"

I think Molly looks pretty happy in this pic!
Taken in the backyard.

This is the happiest looking seal I've ever seen! This photo was taken at SeaWorld on the gold Coast in late November 2006. We were up there for a little holiday and had a lovely day here.

photo Friday - Best for 2006

This is one of my favourite photos for 2006. I say one of because I took alot of photos with family and friend in them that I love alot more. This is my favourite artistic photo. It was a chance shot taken by the side of the road. I pulled tthe car over to take pictures of the sunset and as I was getting back into the car, I saw the moon behind us. I took this quick shot and I just love the drama of it.

In the Spirit of Christmas!
