Photo Friday - Sunrise.

I took this photo on the way to work one morning.
I had to pull over and get out of the car it was so stunning!
The colours were gorgeous!
It was taken with a kodak 2 megapixel camera.
I joined 2 photos together to show more of it.

Theme Thursday - "Body"

This is a close up of my eye, doctored somewhat in photoshop. Added colour to iris (always wanted brilliant blue eyes!) and used the coloured pencil filter and light filter on my skin. I had alot of fun doing this and have wanted to take an eye close up for ages.

Thursday Challenge - RED

Photo Friday - "The dead of night."

This photo was taken outside Crown Casino in Melbourne. Along the Yarra riverside.

They have these great big columns that shoot up spurts of fire in a sequence.

I set the camera on the edge on a big concrete planter right at the rivers edge.

At first there was a couple of little puffs and then a huge burst of flame spewed out of the column nearest me ad scared the crap out of me!! I nearly fell backwards into the Yarra River!!

This is the happiest looking seal I've ever seen! This photo was taken at SeaWorld on the gold Coast in late November 2006. We were up there for a little holiday and had a lovely day here.

photo Friday - Best for 2006

This is one of my favourite photos for 2006. I say one of because I took alot of photos with family and friend in them that I love alot more. This is my favourite artistic photo. It was a chance shot taken by the side of the road. I pulled tthe car over to take pictures of the sunset and as I was getting back into the car, I saw the moon behind us. I took this quick shot and I just love the drama of it.

Theme Thursday -Toys.

This is one of my favourite little toys I've had forever. Taken with Kodak Dx6490. Colour altered using picasa.

Photo Friday - Weather.

I thought this would be an interesting photo for this challenge.

I put my Kodak DX6490 on a tripod during a storm and took pictures using the pulse feature to try to get a photo of the lightning.

I took hundreds of photos and only captured 3 lightning shots, this one being the best!

It was a lengthy exercise that I enjoyed immensely!!

Photo Friday - Automotive.

I took this photo this morning while out driving (I was the passenger). I felt so sorry for this young girl and her friend but, this is so typically Automotive!! In the right turning lane of a major intersection, Where else!!

Theme Thursday - Birds.

This Photo was taken in the bird sanctuary in Kuranda, Queensland, November 2005. This was a very cute, funny and friendly little parrot!

Theme Thursday - Weather.

This weeks theme is Weather. I took this shot on the way home from work. I see this kind of thing all the time and never have my camera on me but this time I did have it but by the time I actually took the shot I had missed the best effects of the sun coming through the break in the clouds and you can just see a little on the left. Still looks cool though! We are having some very cold weather here in Melbourne, a very cold start to winter!

Theme Thursday - Transportation.

I couldn't decide between the two of these photos so I have posted both.
1: The first is a photo of the Skyrail near Cairns, Queensland. This is a pretty slow ride over the Rainforest and Barron Falls.
2: This photo shows The Daintree River Train. They conduct tours on the Daintree River in Queensland. Looks like alot of fun to catch this train.
